All the offspring, the F1, from the first cross will be heterozygous. When you cross two heterozygotes the expected ratio in their offspring is 75% of the dominant to 25% of the recessive phenotype. In this case, therefore, three purple-flowered plants would be expected for every plant with blue flowers.
